Store Supervisor

Job Description:

The Store Supervisor position is accountable for the day-to-day management and operation of the store, and coaching of employees to effectively execute daily functions, develop the sales environment and ensure delivery of exceptional customer service. Incumbents will posses the ability to develop others, and appreciate that teamwork is the culmination of individual efforts against a common goal.

The Store Supervisor is expected to be an effective communicator who is able to earn the respect of their retail team through effective coaching and motivation though a hands-on approach. Additionally, the Store Supervisor position demands the incumbent be motivated, adaptable and decisive to help ensure they are able to overcome challenges in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As this position demands hands-on interaction with both customers and employees, the Store Supervisor’s responsibilities also include the processing of orders, preparing of correspondence, cash/check-out duties, opening and closing of the retail store, deposits, hiring, training and disciplining staff, fulfilling customer needs, and addressing customer complaints. In addition to these responsibilities, the Store Supervisor is expected to keep the store stocked, clean, and keep themselves up-to-date on the changes in the paintball industry.

This position will report to the Regional Manager and/or the General Manager of Badlands Paintball.

Duties:

· Hiring, training, motivating and ongoing development of sales staff

· Ensure a high level of store maintenance

· Scheduling of staff

· Visual merchandising

· Ensure accuracy in all transactions by all retail store employees

· Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge

· Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times

· Work in partnership with senior management and store employees to maximize store sales

· Deposits

· Alarm response

· Opening and closing of the store including cash-out

· Interacting with head office

· Working off-site events

· Travel as needed

· Following and enforcing company policies and procedures

· Work flexible hours

· Maintain an in-store presence

· Managing customer concerns and complaints

· Other duties as needed
