Job Description:
This position demands an individual that is detail oriented, able to think critically and overcome daily challenges. The individual in this position needs to be computer literate in order to interface with our shipping system, and must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
The successful candidate will find their tasks revolve around two main areas, receiving incoming shipments of merchandise, and shipping of merchandise to retail and wholesale customers, corporate stores, and other destinations. The receiving aspect of the job includes, but is not limited to, receiving merchandise, checking packing slips and order forms to ensure that the appropriate merchandise has been received, and the entering of newly received merchandise into the company’s inventory system. The job includes physical moving of merchandise, thus individuals in this role are expected to lift and carry packages weighing up to 30kg on a regular basis.
The shipping aspect of this position includes the picking, packaging, and physical moving of merchandise (up to 30kg in weight) in order to fulfill orders and inventory transfers between Badlands Inc. and its shipping partners and customers. Order and transfer paperwork must be checked for accuracy and completeness. The correct quantities of shipped items must be entered into the company’s order entry system, and the shipping company’s paperwork must be completed accurately, both online and on paper where required.

Duties:
· Receive all merchandise inbound, count received merchandise, verify the integrity of received orders and data entry into the computerized inventory control system (Training Provided)
· Identify all shortage or overage discrepancies to the Shipping Manager and/or General Manager using the proper forms and/or communication channels
· Prepare all orders and parcels for shipping (including packaging and labeling)
· Prepare shipping price quotes for national and international orders
· Oversee and prepare the shipping documentation (Canada, US and international)
· Arrange for pick up by various carriers
· Maintain coordination with customs brokers and transport carriers
· Oversee and prepare the report documentation for proper tracking of shipped orders, as well as oversee and prepare shipping reports
· Maintain proper systems for shipment tracking
· Oversee and maintain proper inventory control
· Assist in the preparation of physical inventory counts
· Creating barcodes
· Bar-coding product
· Labeling product
· Other duties as assigned
