Badlands Cup 2k2

The Badlands Cup 2K2 was a great success. Thirteen rookie teams participated in our first indoor tournament held at Paintball City's great facility in Toronto. The level of play was high as the teams battled fiercely in the heat to bring home the trophies and prizes.

Badlands would also like to thank Stealth Inc for the awesome job they did officiating the event. The referees took countless hits getting into the action and ensuring fair play. Thanks guys!

We would also like to thank Sean from Badlands Vancouver for flying out to run the event. Without his expertise the event would not have run so smoothly (There, I said it. I feel so unclean).

Here are the placings after each team played 9 games. The top 6 teams made it into the finals.

4. Bad Mojo 5. Lego Maniacs

6. Canadian M-Eh! Hem 7. Fugitives

8. Hipnotica 9. Indestructable 10. Hooligans

11. Pestilance 12. Swarm 13. Blue Blaze

Six teams made it into the finals and played five games each. Full Blast took 1st place, followed by Lego Maniacs in 2nd, Projoy in 3rd, and Blue Halo in 4th. Bad Mojo took 5th and Canadian M-Eh! Hem came in 6th.

Going into the 5th and final game, Full Blast had a strong lead and Projoy, Blue Halo and Lego Maniacs were all postioned to take 2nd. Projoy maxed-out their last game but the Lego Maniacs' last game was strong enough to take the 2nd place position. The games throughout the day were exciting and well-played but in the finals the level of play stepped up and we all witnessed some first class paintball from all the finalists.
