Congratulations GFL 2011 Champs

After a hard-fought season in the GFL (Grid Fighters League), the winners of the incredible Eclipse prize package have been decided.

The Cambridge Raiders won the GFL Open Division, and the Kingston Red Dragons took home the Entry Division Title, and just look at what they won!

GFL Ego11

Both teams won 6 Custom GFL Eclipse markers, plus a head-to-toe Eclipse apparel sponsorship for the 2012 season. Astounding prizes, especially considering this was the very first season of the GFL!

A Badlands Spokesperson commented:

"The GFL prize package is the largest in Canada. Real prizes, worth real dollars. The support that the league gets from Eclipse is incredible. Teams have told me how much they enjoyed shooting INKA Silver and INKA Gold paint in the GFL, and I can confirm that INKA Paintball, Eclipse and Badlands are already committed to sponsoring the league next season. I expect that 2012 will be the break-out year for the GFL, and with a prize-pool like this, teams would be crazy not to compete for it.

I attended every GFL event this year, and I was certainly impressed with the level of competition, however I was even more impressed with the fun atmosphere and the friendly competition shared between GFL teams. This is a league you can play regardless of politics, and I think that's great for paintball in Canada. As it happens, Cambridge Raiders are a Badlands/Eclipse sponsored team, so I definitely want to congratulate them on a job well done!"
