Skyball 2K3, three days of foot-numbing madness and fun. This is the one event in Canada that you dont want to miss. The excitement and energy is tangible as you walk into the arena and look out over the fields. The vendors' area is packed with tons of new product and sweet stuff to buy. This year we were the official reps for JT, Viewloader, Smart Parts, Planet Eclipse and WORR Games.

The weather cooperated this year and it didn't get much colder than about minus 14 degrees and no snow to speak of. Anyone who has been to Skyball before knows that the winds down by the lake can cut through you like an icy knife, but this year we enjoyed relatively windless weather and Sunday, the day after the event was beautifully warm and sunny, just around zero.

One much loved feature of the Skyball event is the Hard Rock Cafe, situtated overlooking the fields. After a gruelling day you can relax and watch games run as late as midnight while drinking beer and snacking on wings.

We'd like to thank JT for giving us the opportunity to showcase the new masks and goggle straps that will be hitting the market this Spring. Wow! The new FX-10 looks amazing and the new straps were a huge hit with everybody. We wished we had some to sell because the demand was high. Look for them soon!

We would like to thank Rodney Squires and Ollie Lang of Dynasty for signing the new JT Dynasty poster in our booth. These guys were great, signing hundreds of posters and posing for innumerable pictures. We have limited numbers of the new poster in stock, signed by Ollie and Rodney at the event for those of you who couldn't make it to Skyball.

Down at the other end of our booth we were graced by the presence of the lovely Smart Girls, Brandy, Jenn and Jess. They signed tons of posters and posed for countless pictures, and had a great time even when forced to pose with Sean and Cam from our Vancouver location.

We'd like to thank Smart Parts for sending Graham and Kevin with the Smart Girls, and for sending Tony (left), our favorite Smart Parts Factory Tech.

Planet Eclipse was also present at our booth and we showcased the awesome Eclipse E-Blade frame for the Autococker. Thanks to Planet Eclipse for sending Jerry, their factory E-Blade installation tech to help out in the booth. Badlands has Canada's only Factory Certified E-Blade installation techs and we can do the installation at both our locations.

Everybody works long hours at Skyball and after the event it is time to celebrate. This year we had a fantastic time with our friends from Smart Parts. We gathered at Brad's downtown pad overlooking the lake before heading out on the town.

Of course, you can't travel all the way to Toronto, work at a paintball event all weekend and not play some ball! Rodney, Ollie, Frazer, Eric, Sean, Josh and Trevor enjoyed some fast paced rental action at Paintball City. No personal guns, no speedball, just rec play with rental equipment. We had a blast!

Thanks to everybody who helped make this year's event such a huge success and such a smashing good time. We can't wait for next year and Skyball 7! See you all there!
