The International Amateur Open, 2003 was an event that inspired mixed reviews. Most complained about the cost - both vendors and players alike - and many felt that the event is losing its popularity. Many commented that this event was not as good as in years previous. That may be so, but I still had a good time.

Our friends from Smart Parts were at the event along with the ever lovely Smart Girls. Highlights from the Smart Parts booth included new sticker sheets, the Stainless Steel Freak Insert Kit, and of course, the New Shocker. Look for these exciting new products on our site in the next couple of weeks.

Our friends from WDP were also at the event with the super fast Angel Speed. And, as always, there were many beautiful girls flocking around the Angel booth. They call it Heaven for a reason.

  • Rocky, have you seen Frazer?
  • Yeah, he's right over there!

Overhead, thunder rumbled, lightning flashed and the rained poured down, and I got "stuck" waiting out the storm under the canvas with Gia, Brittany, and Brandy, three of the lovely Smart Girls.

Below: I caught one little Angel on film that didn't seem to mind the rain at all.

This guy hates to be photographed. He also can't get into work when it snows. Yes folks, it's Kevin, the Smart Parts...... actually, we're not sure what he does for the company except sit around talking trash and avoiding the camera. We love you Kevin, no really, we do. Honest.

Left: Our very close friend, Graham from Smart Parts. This man works very hard (harder than Kevin from what we've seen, anyway. But then again, if all you did was sit up in bed in the morning, you'd be working harder than Kevin).

No event would complete without the parties at the end of the day. The IAO was no exception. Enjoy the pics and we'll see you all in NJ for the Super 7.

Innovation: The new Qloader being tested on a Speed. This loader is similar to a warp feed but no batteries are required, and as you can see, it is very compact. Simply screw in your pre-filled, spring-loaded tube and rip away. Wow.
