I was so glad to be in Huntington Beach this spring for the NPPL Super 7 kick-off event for 2005. Even though we had rain the first couple of days the last two days shaped up nicely with sunshine. Enough sunshine to cook me lobster red, sitting in the stands watching the Pro's all day long (and into the evening for the finals). The new format seemed to be a success although the event finished late under the glow of field lights. Dynasty came out on top for a first place win in the finals against XSV who took second. Avalanche, the only team to score a win against Dynasty all tournament, took third.

My fellow Canadian Lise Lam of the Femmes Fatales (right, center) watching Dynasty's Entourage play. Unfortunately, both teams failed to make it into the final day of play.

(Below) Mike Hinman and Brad Maughan of Dynasty. Dynasty's Entourage jerseys came out a little on the purple side - a new look for 2005? Time will tell, but let's hope not!

(Above) Alex Fraige with a Dynasty noise maker. Dynasty fans, like the kid with the Dynasty characters shaved into his head (left), sit in the stands and beat them together to cheer for their team. That is when they're not using them as makeshift swords and beating each other.

Want to wear what Dynasty wears? Get a Killing for Badlands hoodie, or a Killing for Badlands Toque!

Right - Ryan Greenspan armed for bear and... we're not sure what he's doing - but he looks deep in thought.

WDP released the incredible new G7 at the event. This Angel is even smaller than the 05 Speed and can operate at even lower pressures. Come by a Badlands store and check one out soon. Toronto has one to look at already and the other stores will have them shortly.

Right - Ken Crane of Performance Angel works on a Fly while Rodney hides from the camera.

Two new members to the Dynasty roster:

Erik Hunter (above left) and Quincy Boayes (above right).

Left - Old school member Skinny Kevin.

Below - Dynasty dog.

Eclipse had a great booth filled with EGO's, Distortion gear, and yes - I saw the new XSV EGO - looks hot!

Left - I look terrible but that's Patricia from Everybody Loves Raymond. She was at the show with a bunch of kids getting pictures with Dynasty (below) and having posters and shirts signed.

Above - Rodney Squires. For anybody who attends the professional paintball events it comes as no surprise how Rodney got his nickname "Repairman." You can find him sitting at a table keeping Dynasty's gear in top working order. This man knows his stuff!

It was a great start to a new season. WDP introduced their newest marker, the G7, which brings a whole new level of performance to the Angel. I managed to escape the snow and cold for a few days and hang out with my friends in California. And, Dynasty showed once again why they're the number one team in the world, winning the Huntington Beach Super 7 event for the third year in a row. See you in Tampa!
