Six o'clock in the morning, the Hilton Beach resort at Huntington Beach, California, and I find myself yawning and stumbling into the conference hall WDP has set up for the Speed and A4 tech class. One-hour-and-a-half later the hall is full with eager students looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the newest addition to the Angel line-up, the A4. Leading the class is John Rice, the designer of the Angel, pictured below on the left. On the right is Master Tech Russ from Angel Service Center, Hawaii.

OK. Traditionally tech classes have a drinking contest to see if the students can handle the conditions of tournament teching. Most can't. This tech course was not for certification but for familiarization so the students got off easy - no contest. Well, sort of. CJ put his wife Cathy up against J.R. from WDP in a Tequila shot contest that lasted 45 minutes. Follow along below.

Left: CJ after his first and only shot of Tequila. Hahahahahahaha!

Final Round of shots being lined up

Frazer, the judge, taking count.

Cathy, 12 shots behind her, salts up.

Here we go!

Shot 15 going, going...

Frazer, making sure its gone

Gone! Time for a lime.

Oopps! 15 shots is a lot of Tequila!

It's OK folks, she survived. A trip to the washroom and a stick of gum and let's dance! J.R. won the contest.

This was a fantastic event! The WDP crew are a great bunch of guys and really know how to throw a tech class and a party. I'm thankful to have them as friends and to be part of the team as a Master Tech.

WDP released their new clothing line at the event. Watch our site for their new pants, gloves, toques and other exciting accessories in the weeks to come.
